Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf boss Imran Khan tested on Wednesday the unique court’s October 17 prosecution request in the code case in the Islamabad High Court (IHC).

The previous state head through his advice, Sher Afzal Marwat, has mentioned the court to announce the exceptional court’s October 9 request invalid and void.

In his request, the ex-chief has contended that the unique court had requested him to get the duplicates from the case, yet he has not done as such, adding that the court was starting the course of prosecution without sitting tight for the IHC’s decision on his supplication testing the in-camera procedures of the code case.

Two days prior, a unique court laid out under the Authority Privileged insights Act officially initiated the code case preliminary of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Director Imran Khan and Bad habit Director Shah Mahmood Qureshi, setting October 17 as the date of their prosecution.

Unique Court Judge Abul Hasanat Zulqarnain requested the appropriation of the duplicates of the charge-sheet among the denounced, dismissing the protection’s supplication for deferring the cycle until the held decision of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on their request against the in-jail preliminary was declared.

Notwithstanding, both Imran and Qureshi would not get the duplicates of the charge-sheet and sign the pertinent records. Their attorneys grumbled that the law and the principles were not being kept, and that they would challenge the choice in the IHC.

The code case

The code case relates to a political record which supposedly disappeared from Imran’s ownership. Beforehand, the PTI boss had claimed that the record was the proof of an unfamiliar connivance for expulsion of his administration through a no-certainty movement in April last year.

Imran was captured and moved to Attock Prison on August 5, 2023, after an Islamabad court condemned him to three years in jail in the Toshakhana case. Following the suspension of his sentence by the IHC, he was captured in the code case and remained detained on legal remand.

The PTI boss was moved to Rawalpindi’s Adiala Prison from Attock locale prison on his allure in the IHC. On September 26, the two the PTI pioneers’ legal remand was stretched out until October 10. On September 30, the Government Examination Office (FIA) proclaimed Imran and Qureshi as chief charged for the situation.
